Mental Wellness Check-In: A Gentle Reminder That You’re Not Alone

May 5, 2025

A few people I care about have recently shared that they’re feeling off, overwhelmed, or just “not quite themselves.” And it made me realize — so many of us are quietly carrying more than we let on.

As we head through Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to share something that might help. Sometimes it’s hard to know if what you’re feeling is “enough” to get support. But the truth is, you don’t have to wait until things are really hard. Even a small check-in or conversation can make a big difference.

Here’s a short reflection I put together — no scoring, no pressure. Just a gentle moment to ask yourself how you’re really doing:

🌿 Mental Wellness Reflection

  • I’m feeling more tired or drained than usual.

  • I’ve been more irritable or withdrawn than I’d like.

  • I’ve lost interest in things I usually enjoy.

  • I’m having a hard time focusing or staying present.

  • I feel like I’m “holding it together,” but barely.

  • I find myself avoiding people or tasks more than usual.

  • I’ve had moments where I thought, “I’m not okay.”

If a few of these ring true for you, take that as a gentle nudge to slow down, check in with yourself, and maybe reach out to someone you trust.

You’re not alone. You can handle whatever life brings your way — and if you need someone to talk to, I’m here.

You can always reach out — we can talk it through, and if needed, I’ll help you source resources for yourself or for your workplace if others are struggling too. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but there is support.

Remember: reaching out and knowing you need help is not a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength.
Listen to yourself. Trust yourself. And do what’s right for you. You got this. 💛
